Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 17, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how RevHunt ("RevHunt", "we", "us") collects, uses, and
shares information when you use the RevHunt mobile app (the "App"). By using the App, you
agree to this Policy.
Your photos are never stored. When you scan a car, the image is sent for
identification and processed transiently. We do not save your photos on our
servers — only the resulting car details (make, model, year, rarity) are kept.
1. Information we collect
- Account information. When you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive a
unique account identifier and, if you allow it, your email address. Apple's "Hide My Email"
relay is fully supported. We do not ask for your real name — you play under a username you choose.
- Username and profile. The username you create and your in-game stats
(level, XP, prestige score, badges, streaks).
- Scan data. The identified car's make, model, year, body type, color,
condition, and computed rarity. We do not store the photos themselves.
- Approximate location. Only if you grant location permission. Your location
is fuzzed to roughly 100 meters before it is saved, and is used to power the
"Near You" feed and city context. You can deny or revoke this at any time in your device settings.
- Usage and device analytics. Aggregate, event-level usage data (such as
screens viewed and actions taken) and basic device/app information, via PostHog, to improve the App.
- Advertising data. For non-subscribers, we show ads via Google AdMob, which
may process advertising identifiers consistent with your App Tracking Transparency choice.
- Purchase status. Your subscription status, managed via RevenueCat. Payment
itself is processed by Apple — we never see or store your card details.
- Push tokens. If you enable notifications, a device push token so we can
send you relevant alerts.
2. How we use information
- To run core gameplay: identify cars, score rarity, maintain your garage and leaderboard rank.
- To operate the "Near You" feed using your fuzzed location.
- To manage subscriptions, free-tier limits, and anti-cheat / abuse prevention.
- To send notifications you've opted into.
- To understand usage and improve the App.
- To display ads to non-subscribers.
3. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with service providers that help
us operate the App, including:
- Supabase — database and authentication hosting.
- Anthropic — transient image processing to identify cars (images are not retained).
- RevenueCat — subscription management.
- Google AdMob — advertising for non-subscribers.
- PostHog — product analytics.
- Apple / Google — sign-in and (for Apple) payment processing.
- Expo — push notification delivery.
We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, and
integrity of the App and its users.
4. Public and user-generated content
Your username and your scans (car, rarity, approximate location, and time) may appear to other
users on leaderboards and the "Near You" feed. Usernames are filtered for offensive content, and
users can report or block others. Don't include anything private in your username.
5. Advertising and tracking
Ads are shown only to users without an active subscription. On iOS, we request App Tracking
Transparency permission; you can decline, and you can change it later in iOS Settings > Privacy
& Security > Tracking. You can learn about Google's ad practices at
policies.google.com/technologies/ads.
6. Data retention and deletion
We keep your account data while your account is active. You can delete your account at any time
from Profile > Delete account in the App, which removes or anonymizes your personal
data. You may also contact us to request deletion.
7. Children
RevHunt is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal
information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will
delete it.
8. Security
We use industry-standard measures, including encryption in transit and access controls, to
protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
9. Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under GDPR or CCPA), you may have rights to access,
correct, delete, or port your data, and to object to certain processing. To exercise these rights,
contact us at the address below. We do not sell personal information.
10. International users
We operate the App from, and process data in, locations that may differ from your own. By using
the App you consent to the transfer and processing of your information in those locations.
11. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. We'll revise the "Last updated" date above and, for
material changes, provide notice in the App.
